So more than a year after buying my first mac I come to the point where I can't avoid installing windows on it. So I dig out my XP disks that I haven't used since switching to Mac and start reading the bootcamp how-to.

In a matter of moments I realize I'm screwed. "Must be SP2 and a FULL version". I dig through my disks. The upgrade I have is SP2 and the full version I have is SP1. DENIED!

If I wanted to buy another copy of windows I would have bought a PC.

Grrrr.

Yeah... it's not too hard, e.g. this guide:

And you can burn or otherwise keep an ISO of it. You do need to do it in Windows, AFAIK, though, so you might have to do it at work or else try getting Windows running off the SP1 disk in virtualization.
