Sometimes the Downloads get "stuck" in the app store.

so this has been sitting like this for several house. Even if I try to cancel it or close iTunes store it still won't change. Anyone else have this issue? It's not just this app it's others as well. I have to reboot my phone for it to go away.

Occasionally this has happened to me on my iPhone 6 ever since I upgraded to iOS 11. It doesn't happen all the time, but every once in awhile they do get "stuck" downloading. I usually just close the App Store and reopen it again and usually that takes care of the problem.

Yelp and OpenTable hang every time. The only way to get it to go through is restart the device. Its so annoying.

I have the exact same thing happening with both those same apps :S

I've had this happen regularly since iOS 8 (or maybe it was 9). Usually a reboot fixes it. Definitely, some apps hang more regularly than others.

I've never ever had this happen until ios11.

There are old threads from back when syncing to iTunes was necessary for apps, that show how to take care of these stuck apps through an iTunes sync.

Simply rebooting fixed for me.

this started around 10.3 for me and is still present on iOS 11. it doesn't get stuck for long but does happen. also doesn't download the update unless i have the app store open. if i close the phone and come back about 5-10mins later - it's still waiting to download and will start up again when i open the app store. annoying.

Make it three with the same problem with Yelp and OpenTable. It boggles my mind that it only happens with those two apps.

Happens to me all the time AND my apps almost never auto-update even with the feature turned on. iOS app updates have been a train wreck for years.

Open Table pushed two updates two days in a row this week. Both got stuck in the App Store.

Has anyone noticed the battery level drop drastically after app updates? I’ll update a couple apps and my phone will get warm and the perecentage will be down 5-10% in a matter of minutes

I have this problem with OpenTable, Yelp, and Zomato. It just so happens that these apps have Apple Maps extensions to book tables. Coincidence?
