My iOS & iPadOS app Somni has just been updated with a much improved sleep timer.
The app is designed to help you get to sleep if you need help masking tinnitus or just getting your mind to switch off.

The app has a unique feature: It plays a selected white noise for one ear and a story in the other ear.
Of course the ears can be swapped and each has a separate volume.

In the app are two full audio books, 'a room with a view' and 'the adventures of Sally'. There are also some stories for young children.
You can also open files stored in the files app allowing for downloaded podcasts and other audio to be opened.

The sleep timer can be set to auto so it starts when you touch 'play'.
Somni is priced at the lowest price level and is a one time purchase, no in apps and no subscription.

Somni's little sister app 'mini Somni' will be released in the next few days. Mini Somni is designed for older iPhones and has the same functionality as Somni excluding dark mode. Use your old iPhone in bed so you don't have your latest model in beside you.

Best used with ear buds.

Is there a free trial at least? This app sounds good tho.
Hello,
You can hear the two stories included for free. They are on the Librivox site. A Room with a View and the Adventures of Sally both read by Kara Shallenberg. There is a website and a free app (with ads).
The stories are both well written without any serious drama so the concept is that you listen to a familiar story and it just takes you away to sleepy land quickly. In my case I am asleep within 10 minutes and the shortest sleep timer is 20 minutes.
I do not offer a free trial. The app is very cheap to buy $.99 or £.99 with no additional costs.

I would add that I have found that the best way to download other Librivox files and podcasts to open in the Somni app is to download on a Mac and airdrop to the iPhone. The app's help document covers this.
