You need to get the iTunes Music folder from one machine to the other.

Obviously, Ethernet is one way to go. If you have a wireless network, the data transfer might be a bit slow.

Can you connect via Firewire? This will show up in Windows networking as a 1394 device I believe. Firewire is pretty fast. The other option, beyond using your internal network, is to just use an external drive to ferry the files from one computer to the other.

How much data are we talking about here?

Im not sure what firewire is...

I have a wireless router, where my laptop is connected to the router and my desktop is connected directly to the Cable modem. I tried exporting my music file from my desktop, placed it on a flashdrive, but when i imported the music folder, it said only certain songs can be imported, those were the few songs that were already on the laptop, unless im doing that all wrong...

I would not mind doing it through ethernet, would i have to connect my desktop to the laptop through an ethernet cable? and then transfer the music that way?

Thank you for all the help.
