Updated to ios5 yesterday and about a quarter of my songs in the "music" app are now greyed out and cannot be clicked.

Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas on how to resolve?

(also my 'back' button is not working in the music app :S )

Thanks.

I had the same issue this morning. I just deleted the songs from my IP4 and re-sync'd them. They all work now. Good luck.

When I updated, songs that were greyed out were songs that I own that were not currently on my device (this was while my device was still syncing songs over from iTunes, since now with iOS 5 you can use it while it is syncing).

Have had the same problem

A majority of my songs were like there so just re synced instead - the artwork started to appear etc and they seem ok now. It did how ever take 8 hours to sort out becasue i have quiet alot of tunes

Once it finished i resynced yet again and it did something else with a further 280 songs - something to do with art work

Try right clicking on your device under the Devices tab on the iTunes sidebar and clicking on "Transfer Purchases."
