150 for the adapter. if you have a new mini server and a big esata box you can get easy hookup to it

https://secure1.sonnettech.com/prod...d=264&osCsid=5b8327c8f64d9cd0f8fdc0bd35c40c84

this part and the adapter are 150 plus 200 = 350 and you can hook up to this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816111168.

grand total of 650 allows up to 24tb in hdds. of course if you have the box already you need 350 in adapters. this is good for some.

Do they make graphics adapters that connect via the expresscard interface?

Do they make graphics adapters that connect via the expresscard interface?

also want to know this

90 percent sure the answer is no to that but they have a pcie express adapter coming in 2-4 months that should have the graphics card. this will help owners of large storage devices. they have an ethernet card that costs 80 bucks

still these are not the pcie adapter or the raid0 ssd that I am looking for.

Ah sweet, I've just purchased a Mini Server for Logic and it's gonna be sweet, but there will be some kind of external graphics capabilities through thunderbolt in the future yeah? As that's the only thing holding it up I reckon

Sonnet - chain-able ?...

I was looking at Sonnet's site last week and saw this card adapter as well.. the big question that I could not answer by looking at the site was "Does this adapter allow for daisy-chaining"?......

The best I could tell it only has 1 TB port - meaning that if I use this I could not use a mdp - DpDVI connector as well... ? Even if you purchase a new 27" TB display would this adapter need to be at the end of the chain ?

Also my current eSata express card's driver was broken by Lion on my MBP (sil3132 based) so for now my card is not usable anyways...

Anybody know if this adapter allows for daisy-chaining ??

Yeah this would have to be on the end of the chain or on a Thunderbolt hub...which doesn't exist yet, but is possible with the protocol.

Has anyone tried this yet?

Will this fix the Sandy Bridge 23.976 fps playback bug?

Sonnet ExpressCard-Thubderbolt adapters shipping by Dec 14, pre-orders available. Teamed with a LaCie ExpressCard, you can have USB 3 on your Mac for only, let's see...

Thunderbolt cable: $49
Echo ExpressCard adapter: $149.95
LaCie USB3 ExpressCard: $49.99

Total: $248.94 (plus shipping and taxes for the government to kill people overseas)

Also consider a USB hub to accommodate several devices (don't forget it's USB 3 or else this is all useless).

Have fun figuring out which cable is broken when things disconnect. :)

Come to think of it, I'm not sure if LaCie makes OS X drivers.... Oops.

edit- turns out they do.

edit edit- LaCie's drivers are machine-specific, so I don't think they will work. :(
