Hi all,

I am unable to find an answer to my question.

Does my 2006 Mac Pro (1,1 updated to 2,1), running mavericks, is compatible with this sonnet SataIII card ? The Tempo SSD Pro Plus ?

I have found this information in the sonnet manual :

Who have tested this solution ? Thanks for your answers !!

XP941 are bootable - and FAST and Sonnet are not.

Get the adapter and 256GB XP941 $290 on Amazon and you are mles ahead. I used So net for data-only but even then had my first and only "PCIE conflict" with my 1,1 that is still going strong 8.5 yrs later.

XP941 will be as fast or faster than 2 X SSD SATA III on the Tempo.

For a 2,1 Mac Pro, I would look at this card:

The PCIe slots in early Mac Pros will limit transfer speeds. This Apricorn card will work quite well in a 1,1 or 2,1 Mac Pro.

Couple this with a Samsung 850 EVO and I'm sure you'll be happy, and you won't be out a lot of cash.
