Sonoma 14.1, Unable to Message Contacts via Facebook Messenger App on M1 MBP

Hello,

Still new to the apple world.
M1 MBP
Sonoma 14.1

Let me describe what I see: looking at FB marketplace page, top right corner I see 4 circles; (R to L) my profile circle, notifications circle, messenger circle, & menu circle. if I click onto messenger circle my chats popup window appears. if I mouse over and try to click on a contact, the chats popup window disappears and no popup window to chat with a contact.

it worked yesterday (sept 05/24), I think I have clicked onto something, and now unable to message anyone (via the mbp)

I have clicked onto Safari>settings>Websites>Pop-up Windows Facebook.com and made "Allow" available
I have tried searching in google, but I don't think I am able to describe my issue correctly

Update.

Apple menu > System Settings > Software Update

Let us know if it's still happening after 14.6.1

interesting.... when I woke up the machine today (Sept 08/24) chat windows opened up again. I didn't do anything, but I am happy all is back to normal.
