With version 14.4 Macrumors reports these bugs:
  1. USB Hub and Monitor Ports - Lost Connectivity
  2. Java Processes - Unexpected Terminations
  3. Printer Operation - Removed or Corrupted Drivers
  4. iCloud Drive - Destroys Saved Versions

The first two would have been corrected with 14.4.1.
Does anyone know if they are all correct with 14.5? I still have 14.1.2 but I'm afraid to make the upgrade ...

Had Sonoma from day one with no issues whatsoever. Particularly those listed above.

Are you sure they are reports of macOS bugs rather than reports of a few people having issues? I have found macOS 14.x versions to be free from bugs (which affect me). You should keep your Mac updated.

I experienced #1 in the past (APPLE said: do not use hubs),
#2 only once, before updating to 14.4.1,
#3 never,
#4 I never use iCLOUD.
Concluding: it is a good advice to update to the latest level, assuming APPLE crew uses the same stuff.
;JOOP!

MacRumors articles are completely wrong 99% of the times, anyway all of 14.4 regressions have been fixed in 14.5.

Resolved an issue where configured printers may be removed after updating.

4. iCloud Drive - Destroys Saved Versions
Addressed since the 14.4.1 update.

I think all my problems have been resolved with the "Erase All Contents & Settings" then Setting it up as NEW. No Migration from Time Machine. I just synch up my iCloud account and re-downloaded the Apps I needed fresh from App Store or the Developers Web site. I had so many issues when iMac M3 updated to Sonoma that I ended up doing this. I think May 6 is when I did the purge and start from scratch.
