Sonoma and 2017 MacBook

I have a MacBook manufactured in late 2017. If it is not compatible with Sonoma, then why does this show up in Software Update?

Might be generic. What happens when you actually try downloading/installing it?

It just says my system is up to date (13.4.1.(c)). I tried the Ventura beta setting and it worked (I backed out before downloading it). So I guess it is generic.
