Just checking my files, and there are over 500 adobe files, is this junk? why is it in my system?\
I did try to install old adobe program but just deleted it, at least I thought it did.
Is this junk left over?
How can I stop this - can i delete all of this?

You could. Just be sure that you have at least one backup of your disk, and that you are comfortable with doing a complete restore if something goes wrong.

I assume you plan to not use adobe software anytime soon.

If I were you I'd not worry about all these small files associated w/adobe software. They will not hurt your mac in any way, and most likely are taking up 0.0001% of disk space. I'd be more keen to get rid of adobe software that is running in the background and is launched at startup. Look for anything adobe in /System/Library/LaunchDeamons, /System/Library/LaunchAgents, and Users/username/Library/LaunchAgents, place them in trash and do a restart. You could check with Activity Monitor for adobe processes running before the restart, and check that they're not running after restart.

That would do it for me. I've done it before. Don't worry about those little files left behind. There are applications that claim to be able to identify files associated with a certain app, and remove them, but I never used them. Because; how can I trust them not remove something I don't want removed; and why should I risk it if it's not necessary?

@Ben J. is right. It's your Mac - you can remove whatever you'd like! But what's the benefit gained by removing them, vs. the potential drawback of mucking something up & having to fix it?

Me - I'd ignore them.

Always first determine what these files belong to.
Any saved website, javadoc or other web content will contain of lots of these (javascript?) files.
Delete them and you may expect that some documentation is suddenly corrupt.
;JOOP!

Well between me and you - i added some downloaded software if you catch my drift. I know it's risky, usinfg unlicensed software, but need smust right now. I now have to delete the previous install as it did not work, on my 2012 running Sonoma... So now need to rethink my game plan, and wanted to rid my mac (3 days into my new os install) of these files as currently there is zero adobe software on my mac... I don't see why they need to be there if there is no adobe on here... i just dragged the app to the bin and deleted, but i heard this does not delete everything.
