I've used Macs for over a decade in clamshell mode.

The Sonoma update causes a crash/kernel panic on startup.

I can no longer login using the Apple wireless keyboard and external display via Caldigit TS4 like I used to do.

I have to open the lid, log in, acknowledge the crash, then shut the lid, and continue as before.

I hear from others this happens in wake-from-sleep too but I haven't tried that, my experience is on powerup.

I have the exact same issue. After upgrading to Sonoma, whenever I restart or boot in clamshell mode it crashes and restarts in a loop until I unplug the dock.
