Hi All,
Really hoping someone can help. I’m having a recurring issue with Sonoma crashing at the same place multiple times (see image).
Background… this started happening about 3 weeks ago on my M1 MacBook Pro which was using the latest public beta release of Sonoma. Tried all of the usual recovery options and just couldn’t get it to load up. So took the nuclear option and did a hard erase and reinstall of the most stable Sonoma release. Fast forward 24 hours and it happened again, this time went through apple support and they tried all the usual stuff but concluded with it needing an erase and reinstall again or else they believed it was a hardware issue, which I did… everything worked for about a week and then it did it again… so I assumed hardware issue and just went and bought a new M3 MacBook Pro.
All fixed for the last 3 weeks… until today when the exact same issue has happened.
So it must be a software issue but I just can’t understand what’s causing it given that it won’t even boot up in safe mode which to be suggests it’s an OS issue rather than something I have installed?
Has anyone else had this / found a fix as currently the only fix I have is to do a hard erase and reinstall which is such a time drain to get everything set up exactly how I want it every time.
Also anything I can try other than safe mode to try and force a boot and perhaps run from diagnostics?
Thanks in advance!
Kyle
