I have just installed Sonoma and have noted that the Sonoma wallpaper in Dynamic Wallpapers doe not seem to be dynamic?

The wallpaper has three options, Light, Dark and Automatic. Other Dynamic Wallpapers, e.g. Ventura, have Light, Dark and Dynamic.

Is this a bug or is there something else I need to do to make the Sonoma wallpaper dynamic?

The default wallpaper is not dynamic. It has two modes, light or dark. Wallpapers that are dynamic will have diagonal bars to indicate that they are dynamic and will get progressively darker over time. Examples are: Ventura, Monterrey, Big Sur, Catalina, the cliffs, the lake, the desert, the beach and solar gradient.

Thanks. Interesting that Apple has chosen not to make the default wallpaper dynamic for this version, having done so for the past few major versions. Wonder why?

Sonoma wallpaper is dynamic on my M1 MacMini, but static on my 2015 iMac running under Dortania patch.
Hmm, interesting. I am the OP and also have a M1 Mac Mini. Are you sure it's actually dynamic in your case, i.e. the wallpaper changes numerous times throughout the day as time passes?

On my system the Sonoma wallpaper is in the Dynamic Wallpapers section but isn't actually dynamic; there is just an 'Automatic' option to automatically switch between Light and Dark versions of the wallpaper.

Actually, my Sonoma wallpaper is not dynamic in the earlier sense, like in Catalina, where it changes throughout the day and night. Instead it appears that the image of the grapevines is being generated by a drone camera slowly over-flying the property. After a time the overflying ceases and the camera "returns" to the opening screen. It then cycles through this process again, and again. However, I can't get this to occur on my iMac 17.2 working under Dortania. Strange?

Ah, thanks. However that's the Sonoma Horizon wallpaper in the Landscape section whereas the wallpaper I mean is the Sonoma wallpaper in the Dynamic Wallpapers section. It's in the Dynamic Wallpapers section but isn't actually dynamic.
