Hello,
After I saw a guy in front of my house with a laptop, and the internet and wifi led-lights on my router going off and on, while I was not browsing the internet, I disactivated the wifi connection at my servers website. Now I feel more relaxed and save, even if I'm not sure, if I was under attack.

Now I'm thinking to get myself some Sonos speakers, and I would like to know how save is it, to use this system with wifi. Will only my Itunes libary be open for wifi streaming and the rest of my imac sealed off? Or am I opening
myself for some criminals who want to dig into my internet banking history etc.

Ciao

sonos and safty

What does this even mean?

I could not disactivate wifi with my mac, so I went on the servers website and went to settings and did it there.
I should also tell, that when that guy with the laptop was infront of my house, I just had installed the Lion version on my mac. So maybe that's why the Led-lights of wifi and Internet kept blinking. (?)
I hope I explained it well enough.
sorry I'm no expert and no native english speaker.

Sonos uses its own wireless mesh network. Sonos requires one hard wired connection to your network, but beyond that it is totally independent.

I highly recommend Sonos.

if you feel your wifi might be hacked just change the wifi passkey
change the encryption to WPA2-AES-PSK
and use a passkey like "fjosij4t59849%$erjugfos84tjwnf834R%4543" just write it down so you don't forget it. it might be a pain to enter it but you only have to enter it once on a device and they remember it.

then, because you have changed it, anyone who had access to your wifi no longer would.
