Nope, but I'm hoping the next Canon M-series is spec'd in a similar fashion. I'm not a big fan of the way the EVF is on the Sony though, would like to see it collapsible.

I read elsewhere about this camera and it certainly does have some choice aspects to it. Then again, the G designated lenses cost quite a bit and were designed to complement the 4k vid capabilities. The question for some might be is it worth it or better to jump directly into a video camera set up.

Hopefully, you'll get an opportunity to try out the camera and a couple of lenses before your purchase. Perhaps waiting for some hard core pro reviews would be helpful in learning ahead of time the best of features and the "cons" of the camera so you can jump right in and get the most out of your purchase.

I bought the Sony a6000 back in December from best buy when they had a package deal. Just took it back today so that I can get the a6300. The 4k quality will help with my filming in the studio and out in the wild. Love the camera, so I'm excited to upgrade.

Now, now @The Bad Guy ... mirrorless cameras have feelings too. I like the idea of FF compact mirrorless cameras...until I pick one up. It's more of a how they feel thing then a how they perform thing. But I also find cameras like the D3300 to be too small for my hands.

a6300+GM lenses have the potential to be the wave of the future. A few kinks to work out, and hopefully the newer model won't have the overheating (video) issues like my a6000 - or at least not as bad.

I have to say I'm very impressed with it, I'm seriously considering it but I still have a collection of Canon EF lenses unless theres a decent convertor anyone can recommend? Or maybe I'll save a little more and get the Sony a7s II?

I havent checked but might be worth looking at the A7SII and if it has the phase detect focusing the same as the A7RII, then the canon EF lenses work better now with the metabones IV adapter. You would be able to use your existing lenses assuming they are compatible. I know I can do it on my A7RII but dont know about the A7SII.

I think its great. I have the A6000. Perfect camera to shoot both video and photos. In particular the new A6300 as it comes with a mic in. I am still on the fence as the price is quite steep.

I was too at first, but when Best Buy honored my purchase from December 5 (yes a 60 day return) this week I knew I should do it, especially for the 4k and mic-in feature, I really am sold. The a6000 was a beast and is great for me (a novice) to grow into for future photography needs.

Cheers, I'll check out the metabones IV adapter. Bit pricey though

Yes but the A7SII can aparently almost see in the dark ha ha...

The A6300 looks great. I may grab an A6000 as a second carry camera now. I am not into video at all so is a great time to pick up a bargain for the fast AF.

Yeah, I saw some of the demo's on youtube. DigitalRev did one on the A7sII, in a pitch black room, only the streetlights below making the window visible, ramped up the ISO and the room lit up like an xmas tree. Very Impressive.

It's in the body. The only part that sticks out is a rubber eyecup.

I am thinking of moving from my Nikon D3300 to this when it comes out. But I'm getting the body only and a better Prime lens.

Likely an excellent idea especially if you shoot moving target such as wildlife, sports, or kids running around. With the available adapters, you can use a huge range of lenses from Sony, and other such as Canon. Not sure if using Nikon lenses is fully supported. You need to check that.

To be honest with you, I do more still photography than I do motion. I WAS thinking about upgrading to a D7200...

I've considered doing the same. The a6000 is a fantastic camera with a (still) great AF system.
