Hi, I just bought a new 17" flat screen CRT Sony Triniton monitor (HDA-M240).

I connected the monitor, and opened the Displays preference in the system preferences and selected sRGB as my profile.
I restarted my computer, and went back to the Display preference pane... and it listed a profile called "HDA-M240." I know that profile wasn't there until after I restarted.

What I want to know is, where did that Colorsync profile come from?

Also, I found generic Sony Colorsync profiles on their website later on...
http://www.ita.sel.sony.com/support/displays/mac.html

Should I use the generic Sony-provided profile found on their website, the mysterious HDA-M240 profile that appeared after I restarted, or another profile?

Thanks!
