I use the Sony TMRbt8ip bluetooth adapter that came with the Sony DR-BT22ik bluetooth headphones on my Apple iPod Touch 2G. When I turn on the bluetooth adapter, the songs in my iPod MUSIC folder start playing automatically. In order to listen to Pandora or other Internet radio stations, I have to first tap the pause button and then close MUSIC. Is there any way to prevent this?

The same thing happens to me, both with my Touch and my Nano using three different bluetooth adapters. I think it's just the default steps that happen when the iPod recognizes docking with something that will play music. Mine do the same thing when parked on speaker docks.
