Any idea on price point? If it follows Sony's pricing scheme it will be over priced and people will opt for something less expensive.

I dont think they've mentioned pricing. The Xperia Z smartphone which debuted recently is priced around the same as iPhone 5 so I expect this will be priced the same as iPad or lower.

It does look nice, but I wonder how useful NFC is in a 10" tablet. I think the Samsung Galaxy also has NFC in their tablet as well.

I'd like to see how this is received in the US if they opt to sell it here.

I think manufacturers are moving towards replacing bluetooth with NFC for mobile devices, because its easier for consumers and uses less energy to power.

I think its more for quick file transfer between phone and tablet for example.
