I have an sony ereader prs-505 and I love it! Would recommend these for anyone who likes reading.

Personally, I am now building up 2 libraries. I have a technical/academic one with probably about 400+ titles but now I am buying all my new fiction (non-reference essentially) for my ebook from waterstones. I'm glad to hear that they are adding Mac support though because Adode Digital Editions is pretty rubbish and the Sony Library literally looks like it was lifted from OS9, no offence intended! :)

Also have the Sony PRS 505. The 700 didn't seem to offer much benefit when upgrading from the original 502. Not having wi-fi was not much of a concern either when considering switching to the Kindle.

Being tied to Amazon was a negative, as was the rather "industrial" design look of the Kindle, although there are grumbles with the Sony as well, like the extra money for the AC adapter and it's original handling of PDF files.

Like the compatability of the PRS with our local library's e-book lending system.

Form factor of the PRS is very nice.

The MP3 audio and JPEG image options, while nice are generally not used.

I suppose the new features in the revised 700 are aimed at the academic market.
