I visited my nearest Best Buy and aside from the computer and smartphones section being turned into a near electronics expo, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z was one of the products there and I like the look of it.

Notice the lining that goes around the corners of the device. It's a new design aspect for tablets that I think Sony did a good job with.

That does look very smart. How is the price tag? Sony products always seem to be on the high side.

No exception here. WiFi ony Z is around 16% more expensive than corresponding IPad 4 where I live. I have seriously considered this, but I'm going to wait for the prices to fall.

I've seen these and they are quite nice. I'd sure like to see Sony achieve the success it takes to compete with the other top line players. There's nothing like good competition to improve the sector.

I held one in hand at a local Fry's Electronics and was loving the feel, size and weight of the tablet. The interface skin was a mess and very confusing. I don't see how the $599 for 32gb is justified when I spent $359 for a 32gb Nexus 10!

I was offered an amazing deal on this device. It is very light, has fantastic resolution and is a brilliant machine. You can even add an SD card to increase the memory to 64GB.

HOWEVER Sony do not like Apple when it comes to compatibility which with my iPhone and Mac Pro makes things difficult since I have invested so much in IOS and Mac.
Sony prefer their own less popular system when it comes to music and other services. Therefore my other half will probably end up with the Sony.

I think though for the Android and PC user the Xperia Z tablet gives the iPad4 a good run for its money when it comes to choice and specs. Hopefully it will give Apple a boot up the backside when it comes to competition in quality and price.

Very slick tablet, you've got to give Sony credit for their current Xperia Z line, they're not holding back.

They are expensive, but after playing with them it's not hard to see why.
