http://www.androidsas.com/2014/01/sony-sirius-is-xperia-z2-reliable.html

About a week ago, we have seen a Sony mysterious device codenamed 'Sirius' and now according to our sources, the 'Sirius' is the codename for the Sony Xperia Z1 successor Xperia Z2 and Sony will unveil the Xperia Z1 successor at the MWC as we all know that the Sony Sirius was tipped to launch at the MWC 2014 and the device is rumored to feature a 5.2 inches of display having resolution of 2560 x 1440 which is similar to the Xperia Z2 rumored display size.

Sony 'Sirius' is the Xperia Z2, reliable source confirmed it

Not only this, all the rumored specs of the Sony Sirius are similar to the Xperia Z2 rumored specs and according to our sources, the Japanese manufacturer is working on the Xperia Z2 aka Sirius and we will see this device in the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2014. The Sony Xperia Z2 aka Sirius will also feature a 20.7 megapixel of camera along with a 3700mAH of battery and the device will be the super slim and of course, the Z2 will also be water resistant, the Mobile Bravia Engine 3 with modified X-Reality for mobile also included in the specs of the Sony Xperia Z2 aka Sirius.

Well, this time you don't have to take this information as a pinch of salt because this information comes out from a very reliable source, so we should get ready for the Sony Xperia Z2 at the MWC 2014.

Sony makes some really nice phones, this looks to be a winner. They have come a long way from the Xperia Play a few years back

I like the specs I've read, but if they don't change their screens I won't be buying a Sony phone ever.

Worst screen I've ever seen on a phone. Really really terrible.

The Z1 screen is quite good. My beef with Sony phones are the ridiculous bezels. The Note 3 fits better in your hands.

Z1 compact already uses a different panel (IPS).

It's Triluminos, not IPS display. While the Z1's screen is certainly better than that of the, say, Xperia Z, it's still definitely worse than that of the Ultra or most? all? IPS screens.

I said "Z1 compact", not Z1 (two different phones). While Z1 uses a TFT panel with Sonys Triluminos technology, "Z1 compact" (recently announced) uses an IPS panel (just google it).

OK, sorry, my bad. I, for a moment, thought Z1 was discussed because of the other comment directly beneath yours.

Hopefully they'll go IPS for this.

The screens on the newer Sony phones have been a good deterrent for some.

A mix of Samsung S4 and LG G2 features with the minimalistic Sony skin. Looks nice.

Now if only they could put a screen on it with decent viewing angles and make the device a bit less blocky than their current devices, they could have a winner.

The screen is supposed to be much better, from what I've read.

This might be my next phone! I have never had a Sony phone.....has any had one?

Played around with the Xperia Z and liked it except for the screen (and it was a bit clunky).

The Z2 looks much, much better all round.

I'd be very interested if the price was right.

I love the sleek look of the Sony phones....wish they had rounded corners though! :) But the camera are supposed to spectacular.

My wife has an Xperia ZL. Compared to my S4, it is a bit shorter, but wider. The width makes it a bit uncomfortable to hold, for me. The button placement is very good, IMO. It's the sharp corners that make it uncomfortable to hold for a length of time.

The software is wonderfully optimized. Very fast and speedy. Never seen it lag. Sony has what they call Small Apps. These are a very convenient way to multitask.

Battery life is average at best.

The screen is the biggest let down for me. The screen itself is good, but the viewing angles are just terrible. If my wife tries to show me something on her phone, unless she is holding the phone dead straight facing me, I cannot make out what's on the screen. That said, I am amazed by how good the screen is in direct, bright sunlight. My S4 is serviceable in bright sunlight, but the ZL screen blows it away. It is just as good in direct sunlight as it is indoors.

As far as camera goes, it's ok. I feel that my S4 takes better shots.

Thanks Viskon! I will wait until the Z1s comes to TMO on the 22nd and see an Xperia for myself. The square pointed corners might be an issue for me though.

Rumours are that the Z2 is a big step up in pretty much every way.

It seems Sony might have listened and addressed all the issues!

I owned a Z, but as much as I loved the design, the phone itself was not my last year's top 5. plus the screen was a strach, dirt and smudge magnet. I hope Sony steps their game up with the z2.
