I need to get my C2D MBP repaired...Or rather, its screen. You see, with a white background (or any other bright background) you can see what appears to be little squiggly marks UNDERNEATH the screen; in only some places though, some on the right side of the screen, few in the middle, and a couple on the left....It almost looks like someone took a pen to beneath the screen. It's definently weird. Considering I don't remember them being there when I first got this computer. So anyway, I went online to the Apple "Service Depot" since I'm familar with going there when I need my iPod fixed and they usually send an empty box to my place and I send them the iPod in that box...all paid for by them. But in the "Service Depot" there is absolutely no where to fill out a service request.....What must I do to have this problem repaired for free (since I'm still under my 1 year warranty). What have you guys done in the past to get your Macbooks repaired? I really appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks man, but I still feel like I'm missing something. After clicking "Request Repair or Parts (DIY)", I get taken to a Do It YOurself page? What? I just want to ship them my stuff and have them fix it...I dont want the parts to do it myself...

Call AppleCare. 1-800-MY-APPLE.

AppleCare Support:

1-800-APL-CARE or 1-800-275-2273

6AM to 6PM Pacfic Time

You'll speak with a representative and describe your problem. They'll ship a pre-packaged pre-paid box for your laptop.

Guys, are you even bothering clicking these links? They all just end up at the Service Depot site, which has no MBP option as the OP is explaining.

OP, while you can call, they may charge you if you are past 90 days and don't have Applecare extension. I'd suggest an Apple Store visit or an investment in Applecare extension.

And that right there is the problem...That's why I'm trying NOT to call. When somethings wrong with my iPod, I don't have to pay them anything to trouble shoot it over the phone. i just fill out a form online and they send me a box which I send them my iPod back in.....I KNOW some of you have sent your MB's and MBP's to Apple for repair! As long as you were WITHIN your one year, how did you do this with absolutely NO MONEY coming out of your pockets?
