Can anyone tell me what kind of size images are sutible for the books and cards, im imagining that they will need to be big images.

My current camera is only 4MP, im looking at an 8MP one at the moment, but its all costing to much.

Will 4MP be enough quality wise.

Thanks again

I believe iPhoto checks the resolution of the pics as you place them, if a little yellow warning triangle appears you may get poor results when printed.

I recently made a Wedding book and used two pics taken using a 640x480 camera-phone and although they both had the warning triangle, I chanced it and the results weren't too bad... so you should be OK with a 4MP.

If you're using iPhoto 5, then you may want to look up how to change the resolution settings of the books, using a program called pref-setter. I believe the settings have now been increased in iPhoto-6.

4MP will be fine. I had books printed from a 3MP camera before and they looked good. The caveat of course is that you can't zoom in on the picture as much.

My current 6MP camera produced a better looking book but it was pretty marginal.

As said above, iPhoto brings up a warning triangle when you try to put an image in a space where it would go below 130dpi (you can set the level of this warning in Prefsetter)
