I have just bought a new 1.1.1 unlocked iPhone out of the US and would like to know what should I do the first time I connect to my MacBook to sync itunes etc, etc.
Is it safe to follow the instructions that come with the phone or should I not sync anything seeing as the phone is unlocked
Sorry if I sound stupid but I just don’t have a clue about stuff like that

As long as your phone is unlocked when you connect to itunes it should just ask you to setup name and personal info for phone. Just setup your sync preferences and hit sync. Just don't hit restore or update and your good. Since they just released the new firmware itunes will ask you if you want to update the phones firmware just say NO!!!!!!!! and you are good to go.
