iOS Sort of Minimize Effect?

Hey guys, I've been looking around for some time both here and on google for some way of duplicating the "deleting mail" effect that you see in the Mail app on the iPhone, when you hit the small trash icon on the toolbar. See what I mean?

I've been looking in the documentation, but maybe I just don't know what keyword to look for, cause I couldn't find anything on it.

Is this something possible at all? Or is it something that only Apple can do?

Thanks. Is this something that you found somewhere already, or you just guessed it? I know the name of this effect, but I didn't think about it. But I did some research and couldn't find anything about it related to the iPhone...
