I kind've sort've got a refund for MobileChat. I had sent an email about two months ago to ask for a refund but never got a reply. I sent an email again yesterday and got a reply today.

Basically what they told me was that they can't give me a refund because it was over 60 days ago since I bought the app. Instead, they gave me 3 song credits.

My question is: Does it have to be spent on songs or can I buy an app with that? If I can't buy an app, is the only thing I can buy are songs?

Not really fair since I wrote about two months ago which was within their 60 day policy. It's not my fault they never replied! I should have written back sooner though :(

They tried to do the same thing to me, although they offered me five songs. You were definitely shorted...

And while a five song credit was much better (to me) than the full refund, I wrote back and said I wasn't interested in credits, and demanded a full refund. I explained that the app had never worked well, but that the developers kept promising it would get better. So I gave them several chances, and waited and waited -- but eventually it was obvious it was never going to work as promised. I explained that I really didn't feel the developers deserved a single penny of my money, and that even though the 5-song credit was a better deal, getting a refund was more appropriate. They eventually gave me the refund. (Although I think I was technically still under 60 days too, which might have helped).

Just keep writing back and see what happens. The MobileChat situation is different than most. It's not like you've been enjoying the app non-stop, and NOW you feel like getting a refund for it after two months of usefulness. No -- with MC, it's NEVER worked well for most people. And the devs kept making promises after promises after promises. Anyone who's bought this app deserves to get their money back, no matter how long ago it was. In fact, Apple should have taken it off the store forever ago and automatically refunded everyone.

Of course, you may just be stuck with three songs, which is better than nothing, I suppose. And no, you can't use the credits for ANYTHING else, other than songs.

I guess I did get ripped off even by Apple! 3 songs and you got 5?

Oh well, at least I got something back. Next time I'll make sure to be extremely annoying until I get a refund.

Yet another thread about this? Why??

Sorry about that. My thread was supposed to be more about the refund (3 song credits) / 60 return policy rather than MobileChat. Unfortunately MobileChat was the cause of the refund request.
