Hi

I am using iOS 11 GM and i am happy with it. Never use a 11 beta before.
When I open the Settings and clicked on SOS Emergency Call the Screen went Black , and i am back at the Home Screen. Plenty of Restarts doesnt fix the Problem.

PS: I am using an iPhone 6.

I wonder if you both live in "strange" places? I noticed SOS uses location services for some reason; maybe try turning that off and hard rebooting, and testing again.

I had this same issue until I reset the phone and did a fresh setup. I also tried restoring from an iTunes backup with no luck before I went all in and hard reset the device.

I could have lived with the SOS settings crashing however my phone will spontaneously (1 or 2 X per day) just lock up on the Springboard. It does not react to any touch input during this time. However notifications still come in as well as phone calls can be answered. Background audio tasks still run as well. Doing a fresh install of the phone did NOT resolve this problem. My phone is however enrolled with my corporate MobileIron MDM so I am wondering if that may be what is causing the lockups? My support team denies this is the cause..

Anyone else have similar issues??
