Sound and itunes issues....

So I didn't have a problem with the itunes 7.0 release but have had shut down problems with the 7.01 release. Everytime I go to a new song itunes shuts down. What's worse is now the sound on my internet is gone. I have tried both firefox and safari. It says I am missing a codec. Any ideas?

Try reinstalling iTunes and Quicktime.

reinstall but do not update and see if it runs smooth. there may be issues with the update.
