Anyone else notice that if you turn on Sound Check (and maybe Bass Booster) some songs are much louder and some are much quieter than necessary? To fix it I always have to turn Sound Check off then turn it back on ... Did not have this in iOS 4.x

I would never notice that but good catch I just tried it. I usually never have sound check or EQ on.

Sound check compresses your audio. It's best not to touch the volume adjustment for each individual song, either. Both reduce the quality of the audio.

I do think sound check is a waste. But if it wasn't there people would start complaining.

I actually like sound check...I dislike having one song that is quiet (where I have to turn up the volume) and then the next song extremely loud. Might just be my quality of ripped tracks, but I still like it.
