Help! I bought the new Macbook M1 Pro a month ago, and the sound keeps glitching. I've already sent it to an Apple repairer who reinstalled and found everything fine. It seems to get worse the longer I play music. It's like the CPU can't keep up and the sound glitches like a pause for a milli-second.

I have checked all audio lines out and just unplugged everything and put it just thru the speakers on my mac and it does the same thing. So it's not a lead/interface/connection issue, it's onboard the new mac somewhere!!

It’s very frustrating as I’m a music producer recording sound. Regretting spending the ridiculous amount for a newer Mac that isn’t working properly.

More details are needed.

Is the music locally stored or streamed?
Is this happening in all audio applications?
Does this also happen playing locally stored videos and videos from YouTube, or just music files?
Are the audio dropouts occurring when not playing media, but making a FaceTime call instead?

Also, I’m sure you’ve done this, but make sure you are running the newest version of macOS.

It's happening with streamed on spotify, also on youtube. It's also happening playing onboard Logic music I've made. It happens through my interface, it happens just going through the mac speakers. I also noticed it progressively gets worse the longer it plays.

It sounds (no pun intended) like you are on the right track. If it gets corrupted again, you may need to look at things like third party drivers for the audio interface that may be causing this to happen.
