So, the sound icon in the menu bar does not seem to accurately reflect my selections from the touch bar sound control. If I go into the new control center (not a big fan of it, to be honest) and change the sound settings the menu bar icon does change. Just not when I adjust it with the touch bar... Is this just me, or is this part of the Big Sur changes?

When I make volume changes on the Touch Bar, the change is immediately reflected both in the menu bar icon and in control center.

Thanks, chabig, sadly that is not the case on my system... Right now the icon is 'the sound is off' one with the line through it. If I use the touch bar to change the volume from off to on, the icon is unchanged. If, however, I use the new control center to change the volume the icon changes correctly.

Mine does not do that. It works exactly as I would expect and the icon changes. There is more discussion about this here:
