I have a problem with one of my mac minis. I get sound interferance / clicking / ticking etc.. when ever my mini is accessing somthing on the HD or loading somthing from the net. It's really irritating and can't seem to solve it... Does anyone have similar experience that solved this as it's really buggign me out.

The audio out on my Mac mini has a lot of static noise. Is this with the audio out or with the internal speaker.

If you don't get it fixed otherwise, you could try a USB audio device.

Audio out... It's not super important as the mini is my backup mac in case I'm ever without one for some reason.. Just irritates me :)

Me too. Just a question, do you have the power adapted connected to an earthed power outlet? Mine isn't and I thought it could be a cause of the static problem.

Yep fully earthed, with a surge protector that's meant to help provide clean electricity to it..

BUT.... SOLVED IT...

I had a usb wireless card plugged into the back of it. When I unplugged this, it stopped the noise. So my wireless usb stick was causing it.
