Hi,
I have a Late 2013 Imac 27" running on Mojave 10.14.6. A few days ago suddenly my sound started acting up. Every two minutes or so the sound stutters and echoes/feedbacks in to itself for 2 seconds. Like someone switches on a guitar delay effect pedal. And then suddenly stops when it gets too much. It happens when I play something of iTunes, Safari, or Logic Pro X and only with external soundcard not the internal speakers or internal headphone output.
I checked with different external soundcards and it happens when using an UAD Apollo Twin over thunderbolt and a RME Babyface Pro over USB. Both soundcards have latest updates and firmware.
Maybe it has to something with my harddrive? but it also happens when I preview a music file directly from an external USB or SSD.
I have absolutely no clue what it could be. All help very much appreciated.
