So over the past few weeks after listening to music or a show or anything for an extended period, at some point the audio starts sounding like there was a scratch on a cd - that tick, tick, tick, tick sound, y'know? The only thing I've found to fix it is to disconnect bluetooth and reconnect. This is happening with my series 2 Airpods and the Airpods Pro. Since that is the case, it almost sounds like a phone issue? Any ideas/suggestions?

My iPhone 11 Pro Max does it occasionally as well, but only when connected to the car via Bluetooth. But it only does it for a few seconds then carries on as normal

I've heard that. I'm beginning to think they're getting out of sync from each other. Resetting the bluetooth seems to get them back in sync.

I get like little "micro" stutters when I go and do something "data heavy" while listing to music ever since IOS 13 came out.

I just assume my phone is getting to old to handle everything and IOS 13 made it worse.

I’ve had it happen to me twice so far with my 11 Pro and APP’s since launch day. Probably BT issues in iOS or APP firmware issues.

I have issues with this when I play Pokemon Go and listen to Spotify at the same time. As soon as I minimize Pokemon Go, it stops that strange skipping. It is really strange and it bothers me.

Definitely sounds like an iOS issue then. Especially since it happened on my XS Max and Pro Max and with two different types of Airpods.

It is just strange that not many other people are reporting the issue. I did have two different pairs of Airpods Pro that had the same issue. Maybe it is a phone problem? I also have an XS Max.

I use my series 2 AirPods mostly and haven't noticed it. I'll try it out on the Pro and see.
I've been using my AirPods Pro all morning and if it was going to happen, it definitely would have by now. So, it seems fixed on my end and the iOS update is the only change for me. Hopefully yours gets fixed soon. I know it was absolutely driving me crazy!
