So I have been experiencing a strange issue for about a month. I generally leave my headphones plugged into my iPad Pro. But recently after waking up the iPad and paying any sound it comes out of the speaker not the headphones. I have to unplug the headphones then plug them back in and it works fine.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I am using the latest iPad OS on an 11” model

This is the model that has an actual headphone jack? I haven't seen this, but problems similar to this used to happen on iPhones a long time ago. It used to be that even with the headphones removed the sound didn't come through the speakers but tried to play through the headphones. The fix was similar, plug in headphones and remove them.

You might also try to restart the iPad. You can try contacting Apple support or visiting an Apple store and getting a genius appointment.
