How does the speakers sound in the new 27"? I have the first Alum 24" and those sound like crap, I am selling that one once my 27" i7 comes in and was wondering if I should throw in my HK speakers to sweeten the deal. I am no Audiophile by any means just like a descent sound that's all, for the most part I listen to the headphones. But if the new speakers are at least an 100% improvement on the old ones then I would be satisfied.

No idea how bad the old speakers were but I really like the new speakers. They are better than I expected them to be.

I have one of the new 21.5" iMacs... and wow... These are WAY better than I was expecting. They go pretty loud and sound really nice. Better than my cheap 250 watt stereo anyways. :p

You can hear them if you go to an Apple Store but I'm sure you'll be surprised. I have a Macbook Pro too and I was always a little disappointed with that audio quality but this is like light and day.

The sound has greatly improved over the last gen. aluminum speakers.
Much louder, much clearer, more bass.

I'm no audiophile either, but the difference is easy to hear.

They're actually the first speakers on a Mac that I don't have to use at full volume to be able to hear anything. They're not amazing, but compared to the low standard previously set they're infinitely better. Very balanced, and good for everything but intense music and movie listening.
