Hi- I have the latest generation Macbook Pro. Speakers work fine.

When I plug in external speakers or headphones, sound only comes out on the right side. Any ideas? Thank you

When the speakers or headphones are plugged in, open up System Preferences > Sounds > Output > select Line Out or External or whatever isn't Built-In and make sure the balance slider is in the middle.

Failing that I'd suggest you contact your audiologist immediately and book an appointment. (because that would be cheaper than getting a repiar if you're not covered by AppleCare)
