sound problem with airport express. NEED HELP !

alright just bought an airport express for my new imac g5. i can stream sound from mp3 files in the itunes to my stereo but here comes the problem: i cant stream the sound of video clips to my stereo, it switch directly to the internal sound system of the imac. PLZ HEEEEEELLLLLLP !!!!!
is there something blocked? and i just should stream the sound trough a regular cable to get my requirements?
i would like all the sounds from the imac to play through the sound system.

That's normal. To play some other sounds through AirTunes, try AirFoil.

thx a lot.... but still urgh not free lol. i think it s ridiculous that we have to pay 129 for airport and we have to pay 25 for another program...

well i tried airfoil but don t want to buy it, i m quite disapointed of the airport express since i bought it more for wireless sound system, i think i m gonna return it. thx for the help anyway

Apple markets and sells the AE as a way to stream iTunes music to another room, wireless printing and network device. No where do they say you can stream sound from other applications. What's your beef? That it doesn't do something it is not advertised as doing?

Well i didn t search for more info about it cuz i just switch from pc to mac and i was used of hardware that can do everything in a particular field not to do only one thing. see ahtw i mean? but hey i just will need to get use to it. i m really happy of my imac, now i m thinking why i didn t switch earlier !
