Sound problems on iPhone after ios11 update

Hi. After I updated my iPhone 6s plus to ios 11 I can't lower the volume on my phone properly. I reduce the volume with the volume button but the sound is still at max which is annoying when sitting in an office environment. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

What steps have you attempted in order to resolve this?

The first thing I would do is a restart of the phone. If that does not work, then reset all settings. If that does not work, then restore the iPhone through iTunes for a fresh installation of iOS 11.

Hi. I just figured out why. Under the Sound settings I had to turn on the button called "Change with Buttons".

Sounds like some sort of a bad installation. Doesn't really seem like it has much to do with what's in this thread (which has already been figured out and resolved).
