I have an iMac running 10.3.9 partitioned into 4 partitions. When I am logged on to my partition, the sound does not work in some applications, but does in others. For example, the sound won't work in 'Medal of honor' or any of my arcade games, but it works fine in 'Call of Duty' and iTunes. When I use any other partition, or my external drive, the sound works in all applications. Outside of suggesting and exorcist, can anyone help?

Sound corrected, now Garageband won't work

Well, I tried to open Garageband, but I got the message "Garageband has unexpectedly quit". Then I went to audio midi settings and evrything was already set to default. I tried one of the applications where before I had no sound and voila, I have sound. So, you corrected my problem. However, now I have a new problem. Garageband won't open. I never use the program anyway, but why does it automatically "unexpectedly quit"?
