iPad Pro Sound starts low then gets louder...

So a weird thing has started happening with my iPad Pro 3, both iPhone XRs, and iPad mini 5.
I go to play a song and the volume is a little lower then after 1 second it gradually gets louder and stays that way. It happens when I restart or haven’t used my devices for an hour or two.
Anyone else experience this? It’s just weird but slightly concerning as it never happened on any 4 of these devices before.
it doesn’t seem to do it on my Air 2 or iPhone 11 Pro, just the 4 I mentioned.
I’m wondering if it’s part of some sound management thing to keep the speakers from blowing or if it’s a hardware issue, but it is unusual that it would happen on 4 separate devices right?

So I turn on a song and the volume isn't super quiet or loud, but after playing for a second it gradually turns up to being louder (Essentially the volume percentage I set It at... like 80%) hmmm.
should I be worried?

I took a video of one of my iPhone XR’s and my iPad Pro 3.
sound doesn’t pop or click, just starts lower volume and then grows louder...

I’m hoping it’s an iPadOS and iOS 13 thing, I’m probably wigging out for no reason... but I’m an extreme audiophile so any problems drive me up the wall. Plus, the great speakers and quality sound is my favorite aspect of the iPad Pro.

Ah! So it's not just me! I'm getting the same thing on my iPhone 8... and it might have coincided with the 13.4 update but I'm not sure.

secondly, i dont know exactly what it could be but my first thought was that it had to do with the sound check setting. Sound check is a feature that analyzes id3 tags in songs to match volumes and turn up or down as need. The latest updated might have messed with that feature somehow so I’d check that setting.

Isn’t there a “fade in” setting in music settings as well? Check all that and report back

So I checked all audio settings no sound check is activated and I can’t find a fade in setting.
It’s got to be a software thing right? Both my iPhone XRs and two different iPads are doing it... And I don’t believe in coincidences. lol

Checked a family member’s iPad Pro 3 and it does the same thing, but neither of THEIR iPhone XRs did it, from what I could tell.

Also it happened on my family member’s iPad before updating to 13.4, but I then updated it to 13.4 and it still does the same thing.

Is “Listen for Hey Siri” on? On my devices that I have the setting on, I have noticed my playback kicking off rather “faded” and coming back full force momentarily (especially when I am wearing headphones.)
Things are working fine otherwise.

Nope; it seems to affect all apps, not just Music.

Weird, I don’t know if I experienced that or not. Things like this are what tempt me to buy a new device.

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I was/am still curious if those videos I posted are similar to what you experience too???

*Reason I’m annoying and keep asking is that if others are experiencing the same thing... it helps me stay a bit more logical, and not stress or worry if my device has bad hardware and should be swapped out at Apple or if I should buy a new model.
**Of course you don’t have to answer, but it would be helpful. ?

Originally I would've said yes, but now I'm not so sure. I was listening to something earlier and the volume was fluctuating a bit, even during playback. I'll need to retest at some point, but I can't guarantee it'll be any time soon because I'm so busy at the moment.

it’s cool, thanks for getting back to me. So was yours just going up and down in volume during the entire playback of a song or movie?

Also I know none of you are my psychologists, but can someone please just digitally smack me and tell my obsessive self that IF 4 other devices do the exact same thing... my iPad is perfectly fine.
**I need someone from outside my crazy brain to confirm I’m just obsessing over nothing. Like logically I am 99% sure I shouldn’t be worried still, but darn it! It’s bugging me still. lol.

I've done some testing, and I'm quite embarrassed now because this whole thing was a red herring

When I listen to sound or watch video on my phone, I'm almost always lying on my stomach on the bed with the phone on the pillow. It turns out that the acoustics of doing such a thing causes the volume to appear to fluctuate as I move... so the initial quietness was actually while I was (subconsciously, apparently) getting myself into position. After going back and replaying the same files while moving the phone and my head, I found that this whole thing was due to movement and not the phone itself.

I bought a new set of pillowcases recently with different material, so I suspect that that was the 'trigger' for this issue in my case... not the 13.4 update after all.

I have this issue only with my iPad Pro but when i listen to it then after 3-6 secs it varies then it goes up little by little till it’s eventually screaming because i turned it all the way up to head anything so i have to use headphones constantly but the problem with that is that the headphones cut off a lot for whatever reason but i do think your right that they’re alot of bugs recently.
