iPod Sound through only 1 speaker-any solutions?

Hi! My iPod Mini has recently decided to give me sound through only one earphone. One earphone is perfect, the other is completely dead. I've tried swapping earphones and speakers, of course, but they all have the same problem. For a time I could get sound through both earphones by pushing the headphone jack slightly to one side, but that has stopped working (and was irritating anyway.) Does anyone have any solutions, or has the iPod just given up the digital ghost? Thanks in advance!
