Sound wake-up from sleep

I have an 24-inch 3.06GHz Core 2 Duo (Early 2008). In this last stage of its working life it has become an oversized foto frame using the savescreen linked to Photo collections.
l would like to find a way to keep it in sleep mode and wake it only when the microphone hear a sound in the room.

Any ideas ?

It seems that Voice Command only works in Catalina or more recent OS.

And even that was not doing what I am searching for. I would like the same behavior that Samsung tv like the Frame where the images are shown only if there is someone in the room. No keyword needed.

I can’t believe that a Unix workstation like the iMac is not able to monitor the microphone and invoke the wake up if a sound over a certain level is detected.

I believe it is a PIR sensor reprogramed to wake-up the TV's screen-saver.

Just my imagination, not experience. It maynot working reliably.
A PIR sensor that trigger a vibration, which is attached to the mouse pad.
but this will trigger the log-in screen, not the screen-saver like the Frame.
Making a 2 steps wake-up: Screen-saver, then log-in screen would requires more complicated setting on Mac OS.

I do autologin at wake up. Can I put the screen saver wait time at zero?

I believe the minimum time for the screen-saver kick-off is 1 minute, isn't it?
Don't need to autologin, if no-one logging-in, the screen saver will runs after 30s waiting.

Still missing the way to wake it up just with the room incidental noises…
