I bought a new 17 pro max and I've been using it for a day. I haven't noticed any manufacturing defects, but I noticed strange hissing sounds coming from the speaker area when I plug it in to charge. Could this be the cause? Do you have the same problem? My display panel is LG, will I have a problem with this?

Glad that I found this thread and I am not the only one noticing it. This noise is strange and never had something like this with any iPhone before. Definitely coming from the port. Tested also with another usb cable but still the same problem. Are you contacting the Apple support?

I haven't received support yet, but I will have a meeting tomorrow. There is no place where I can get physical support where I live. Have a meeting with us and let's see how things are done in different countries.

Same issue here also, tried a few usb cables, noticed it doesn’t happen on all apps and is much more noticeable when you stop or start watching a video / Live Photo (with the sound off or it would drown it out, it’s not particularly loud)

Si yeah my bad it’s coming from the left speaker. Took a Genius Bar appointment this week… hope it’s not hardware problem
