One of the minimum requirements for Soundtrack is:

- Macintosh Computer with a single 500MHz or dual 450MHz or faster PowerPC G4 processor

My question (please don't flame the new guy):

Would a 900 mhz iBook G3 processor be able to work?

hmmm, it might run but it will probably be rather sluggish. the G4 requirement is most likely for the effcts and real time stuff but not sure. i have it and i'm not all that impressed. you might want to check out Ableton Live. it's much better, much easier to use and cheaper. plus it's not optimised for G4 so your iBook will do great. my friend runs it on her 900 iBook and she gets very good performance. i've been using it for quite some time and it's prob my favorite app for music creation. if you need to sync to video you can use ReVision along side it. works like a charm.

i tried to run it when i had an ibook 800 and it did not work even after messing with the plist file...

I think it's AELRequiredCPUType in the Info.plist. Change to G3 from G4. (I can't say if it really works as I don't have any G3s running OS X). Plus there are some strange quitting issues, download the latest software updates (Soundtrack 1.0.1 and ProAppRuntime 1.0.1)
