Ok well I was going to post about an issue I had but used the search function to help. So I'll give that a try before posting.

But I didn't find another solution to the problem I am having.

I installed XP SP1. The computer booted fine and jumped right into XP. When I went to install SP2 I received an error stating that I needed more HD space to install. Said I needed 4 extra MB although I had 8.5GB available in that partition.

I don't think I need to install SP2 but the main reason I am using XP on my Mac is for work. I need to install 3ds max for work along with photoshop. Max didn't even get passed the initial install screen. On my home PC, 3ds max installed fine without SP2.

Any ideas?

Thanks...

just don't...

Well.. just don't install SP2 then. replace Internet Exploder with Mozilla Firefox, replace the MS firewall with Zonealarm, get Avast! antivirus, get rid of Outlook and Outlook express, disable all the security warnings in the control panel and you're good to go.

I don't have an answer, but this would not be the first thing i try.
