Seen the new Nike pride strap, and looks nice, like others have said a lot more subtle.

I have a space grey S4 though (none Nike version), not sure how a white strap would look with it? I have a few straps of different types but none white.

I also have never bought an official Apple strap, normally just get Amazon ones which are decent enough. So is this strap really worth....£50

So I know no one probably has the actual Nike strap yet, but it looks the same as a white Nike strap I presume? Any pics and comments?

Here in UK during Covid-19, rainbows have become a sign of happiness and support for key workers etc, so although it’s an official pride band it seems very apt here in UK currently.

Thanks

So it came! Any good? Worth it? You like the standard white with SG anyway? Personally like the new Nike better than solid white.

The lead time has jumped to end of June now so it must be popular, in UK anyway.

It looks pretty cool to me!

I also like the look of white on SG, the Nike is more interesting tho.

I’m tempted on the Nike to be fair. I don’t normally buy official bands, or many others really, and get off Amazon. I bought a Nike black and lime think, and seemed decent, although not sure of quality, and wondered on the actual material if was the same as the Apple one would be.

These seem decent for summer as well with a bit ventilation. Still think they are too high price though, and wonder if the Amazon versions are just as good?

The thing with the ones you get from third parties including Amazon is that they aren't bad but the materials aren't the same, and the colour is not either. If you like a certain colour of a band, I would get the real deal. I think the Pride one is one which is hard to replicate. I ordered the Nike Pride one for my space grey too. Apparently coming next week sometime!

That’s worry, material is it the same. I imagine Apple test a lot to ensure for skin irritation etc.

Maybe I should go for once with a genuine one then. Just hope it will fit the series 6 when it comes, think Apple will be thinking of update of body soon?

I don't have any non Apple bands, so I can't compare. If you think they're fine, then they're fine. :)

Apple bands are fluoroelastomer. Other bands are silicone. People claim they can tell the difference. Less so for the sport loops style.

I like the Nike style. Yep, it's more breathable.

I agree, the Apple bands are too expensive!

See that you can now spec a new S5 with the Nike band. Pity can’t with the S3 though, would have been tempted to maybe get a S3 for work and use the band.

You could just get the pride one, and if they design changes on the 6 (which I don’t think it will FWIW) then you could still sell the band! And yes, the materials on third parties aren’t bad but they aren’t the same. I think for pretty neutral colours they aren’t bad. They do the job. But if you like a particular colour, go with the Apple one.

I haven’t got any non-genuine bands either, but what I can say is that I have a Space Black and a Stainless Steel S5 and I think the Nike Pride band looks better on the black one, having tried both.

No photo on SS, but on SBSS:

If you're ever unsure about if a colour might look ok or not - and you want a general idea - not super specific - without spending mad cash - do what I do and just order your straps from China direct. Usually $2USD with free shipping. After having a few from there and being happy with the quality - I just ordered about 20 the other day, all different colours because many of the great posts on this forum inspired me. It made me get away from the stock black on my space grey, and stock white on my Ceramic.

Plus, if you're into sport bands that maybe spice it up a bit there are so many to choose from in case you like that style :)

Same here - the Apple Watch band thread is very dangerous sometimes!
