Spaces problem?

Is anyone getting this?
I use 4 spaces.
When I turn my imac on spaces only goes left to right.(Even though I see all 4 spaces) I have to go into system preferences and turn the bottom row to none then back to one. Then I can finally use my 4 spaces.

No, but sometimes when I'm using Exposé, Spaces locks up and I
can't change the space I'm on even if there are open apps in the other
spaces unless I turn off and then turn on Spaces in System Preferences.

I just tried again its not only 4 spaces, its whatever many spaces i have that has rows. On start I can only use spaces left and right but not up and down until I chance the number of spaces then it works.

Thank you! Same thing happens with Spaces keystroke shortcuts. Couldn't figure out WTF was happening.
