iPhone Spam Call Blocking app that doesn't sell your data?

I have been using Nomorobo for a few months. The subscription fee is $2 or $3 per month, and for a while it was working very well. Over the last few months though, it just seems to have...stopped working. It no longer blocks spam calls. When spam calls come in, and i look them up manually within the app, it correctly identifies it as a spam call but this isn't helpful. I was hoping an iOS 12 update would come but it hasn't.

The whole reason I went with Nomorobo to begin with (after trying some others) was that others are free but sell your data (Hiya among others).

So i'm now trying to find a working iOS 12 spam call blocking app that does not sell your data. Essentially, a working version of Nomorobo.

Anyone have any recommendations? I get 4-5 spam calls a day, and it's super annoying.

I've been using WideProtect because my spam calls typically come from a set range of phone numbers for a while. It's worked well for me.

So this app only blocks manually entered area codes? It doesn't offer some known spam call database blocking like other apps?

Correct. Not real usable if you get lots of spam calls from a wide variety of numbers but for the sort of calls I get, it's working great.

LOL...I got 50 robocalls last Sunday but it usually averages about 20 calls a day.
Call blocking apps are worthless because they depend on black lists. But spammers have gone to "neighborhood spoofing". That's where the robocall looks local mirroring your own area code and prefix which tricks you into answering. You could block these numbers individually but they constantly change so it's basically pointless.
What I do is enable Do No Disturb with only people in my Contacts permitted to ring my phone. Sounds drastic, but I ignore callers I don't recognize anyway. And instead of forwarding my unanswered calls to Voice Mail, I route them to a phone number that rings indefinitely.

What could Apple do about the robocall plague? For starters they could allow the blocking of partial phone numbers. I get alot of calls from Florida. I would prefer to block the whole state by area code.
Apple could also expand iPhone's Call History capacity from 100 to unlimited. It would also be nice if you could export or at least print out the Call History.

In August 2018 there were 4.4 billion robocalls placed....thats over a billion from the month before. 60% of those calls involved neighborhood spoofing. Ajit Pai, chairman of the FCC, does nothing about it.

Edit: I've tried WideProtect too, but it can only block three area codes in their entirety. For someone that gets an occasional robocall that would suffice but not for me.

Some of them are not even free and as you have stated use personal data like it was discussed in this thread.

What's up with these ****ing robocalls? I didn't know it was even call that until I saw this thread. I been experiencing these damn calls everyday now for the past 3-4 months. It's so damn annoying. I tried installing a few apps from the appstore to block these calls, but how do you know which app is selling your data? Seems like every company these days is selling your private data. What the **** is going on?

We need to do something and put a stop to this mess, it's really getting out of hand with all this privacy stuff these days.

I've been pretty happy with Robokiller. It's a few $ a month, but it has worked well. It also blocks the "local spoofing" calls

Ran into a strange issue. Bought it on my iPhone XS and it shows up as $69.99/year. Bought it on my wife’s iPhone XS and it’s $29.99/year.

why would this be different? Same iPhone model, same verizon account, different Apple IDs.
